1.How does the author define "line"?
A line is a basic element of art, it is a mark that spans a distance between two points. Lines can be drawn as vertical, horizontal, diagonal, zigzag, curved, straight etc. Also, they can be short or long,wide or skinny,and rough or smooth.

2.What is required to make a line?
A writing utensile. Decide what type of line you wish to draw, if straight then a ruler is required.

3.What is "dimension"?
Dimension is the lenth, height, width, depth, or diameter of something.

4.List many ways that artists create line.
An artist uses different techniques to create lines that best fit their art work. Using a fluent motion appose to a rapid jagged one with create completly different lines.

5.Define an "outline" and an "implied" line,
An outline is is the edge of an object created. An implied line is a fluent line with 'gaps' in between.
